We would like to use our summer home in the winter. This is the first year we have owned it through the winter, is there any service that will winterize our cesspool and shallow well?

I assume that you do winterize your cabin every year by draining the water and filling the traps and toilet with anti-freeze or cooking oil.
Both you sewer and water should be fine. Good luck, Tom

Hi Tom,
Sorry for the caps, it's just seems easier. However, when you say insulate the water lines what is your suggestion on doing that, and who would I contact to do this service? I'm not sure who actually does this type of thing.
Thanks

when you say insulate the water lines what is your suggestion on doing that, Armoflex (see image) comes in 5 foot lengths.
who would I contact to do this service? This can be done by the home owner. Armoflex is split so it's a easy task to install.
If you wish you get the material and I'll walk you through the installation,
Now this is for exposed pipes, Buried pipes should be OK. Good luck, Tom
