My husband was charged with two felonys 3 years ago and he just got two probation violations on each felony for not reporting to his probation officer what jai time is he looking at.

Hello k:

It's difficult to tell. If he missed ONE meeting, it won't be so bad. If he didn't go for MONTHS, that's different.

You need to find the original sentencing paperwork for each of the felonies he has violated his probation on. Then read the part where the Judge made a notation to himself stating what his punishment would/could be if the person came before him with a probation violation. More than likely it's jail time and lots of it.

I would need to know what state you are in. However, I was told that in Arizona if you do not report to your PO for any more than two months they consider that absconding which is very serious. They would consider that two months dead time and would not count that towards his time. They would violate him for this and more than likely not reinstate his probation and make him serve the rest of his term for technically going on the run.
