Koko, you absolutely should not try to go cold turkey releasing your body from fentanyl. You must make your doctor aware so he can get you the proper treeatment. For those here who do not know what the drug is, it is used for several chronic pain, stronger then morphine. I have never had any clients on anything stronger them morphine and even then, very closely monitored unless they are palliative with nothing else to control the pain for comfort.

Koko, what was the fentanyl prescribed for ?

Koko, this drug you are on is a synthetic opiate, opiate being the operative word here, meaning extremely addictive. Your doctor actually did you no favours by putting you on it. Yes, unfortunately some people have back problems that turn chronic, but surely can be managed some other way.

Please see your doctor and tell him you have to get off this drug NOW.

Apologies for leaving you in the lurch there, koko, but where I live it was 3 am and I went back to bed.

I know all too well how it feels to be a slave to a substance, especially one so powerful. If you've gone for five days already, then the worst is behind you. But you really should have been tapered off by a professional, in a clinic. That's how I got clean and sober.

What method of pain relief are you planning to use now? Is the pain gone?
