I have a fairly new corner fiberglass shower stall. I want to remove it and use it in our basement bathroom. Has anyone ever removed & reused a fiberglass shower stall unit?

If it was glued into place you might find getting it out undamaged to be a real challenge if not impossible.

Any suggestions on how to do that? I don't believe it was glued but how would we tell ahead of time.

You won't know ahead of time... but I think the odds are high it was... things just aren't going to move when you try to move them. If it was done correctly it would not have simply been stuck into place and the plumbing hooked up. Fiberglass enclosures are light... adn light weigh means it could easily be moved, not good for plumbing and why its most likely glued to stabilize it. Intallations are made to provide stability and long service life... not with any intentions of ever moving them at a later date.

It all depends on its actual construction and exactly where its installed... you might not be able to get it out without damage. Fiberglass gellcoat will crack if its flexed much. Nobody can guess what glue was used, exactly where it was applied or how much was applied unless we were the ones to actually install it..

You might get lucky... but be prepared to buy another as damage is likely.
