I have problem with the color display: I have Compaq & running W98SE. It defaults on 16 colors, after I choose 256, if asks to restart the computer and returns to 16...
I reloaded Graphics drivers from Compaq QUICK RESTORE CD, but it didn't help... any ideas? Thanks?? D :D

What video card and monitor?

Try uninstalling and reinstalling the video drivers. Alternately, you could do a search for updated video drivers.

If this does not work, then reinstall your version of windows 98se using the cd or the .cab files on the hard drive. You will not lose data during this process.
