Can a garbage disposal be installed under a "vegetable sink" (that's on a big kitchen island). I have access to drain/underneath. There appears to be room but I don't know if the pipes connected to this sink would carry the "stuff" out like my main kitchen sink & disposal. Why in the world would you install a vegetable sink if you can't dispose of the scraps!

Should be no problem installing a disposer on the island sink, but if you are on a septic system you may want to contact the local board of health and ask them if it's OK to install a disposer anywhere in your house... some towns frown on it... ;)
