The house I just bought was built in 1952. It's a 3 bedroom, 1 bathroom with the standard screw in fuses (total amps unknown). Presently I'm doing a remodel. Adding a third bedroom & extra bathroom, washer & dryer, dishwasher, newer & larger refrigerator, bigger microwwave, probably 3 window air conditioners and a tankless hot water heater which this house never had before. My question is should I upgrade to a 100 amp or 200 amp service to accommodate everything I'm doing. Thanks

List of all major electric appliances that you have not mentioned yet, such as range.

Wattage or amps of each AC unit.
Wattage of water heater.
Type of heat.

My appliances will be a 15 amp electric stove, 3 - 4.5 amp window air conditioners, a Bosch tankless gas water heater with electronic ignition voltage 120 VAC 50/60 Hz standard plug, dishwasher, 22.4 cubic foot refrigerator, 13.7 cu. ft. upright freezer, 2 computers, 4 televisions & 1 stereo. My home is heated by natural gas. I hope this info helps.

I assumed and added an electric dryer, a 100 Amp service is plenty, with a connected load of 56 amps.

If the basement could be finished or if any addition is ever planned, or if central AC is planned, then installing a 200 amp may be wiser now.
