Why does my truck bog down when it rains? It will cut out after driving for a few minutes and it tends to start acting up every time I shift gears. Eventually, when I slow down and come to a complete stop, it shuts down. I'm not able to start it again unitl about 30 minutes later. Can someone who is engine savvy help me out? Is there water getting in the engine somewhere when it rains? It is a Nissan Frontier 2000.

"Bogs down when it rains" is usually actually moisture getting into the ignition system or fuel system.
You'll need to know exactly which in order to proceed.
When was the last time you replaced the plugs or wires? Or cleaned the upper intake and throttle body?

. Replace the spark plug wires. They have likely deteriorated and moisture is penetrating them and shorting out the secondary ignition. Voltage is likely going to ground, instead of to the plugs.
. Replace the O-ring between the distributor cap and the housing. It's best to coat the O-ring with silicone grease.
