I have a Peerless bathroom sink faucet. It is a two-handled faucet. The faucet is leaking, and the water feels cold, so I'm getting it relates to the cold water faucet. I removed the handle and pulled out the cartridge, but the bottom of the cartridge is flat. There is a rubber washer embedded in the base of the cold water faucet.
What would be causing the leak? Does the washer need to be replaced? How do you remove the washer and replace it?

That"rubber washer" that's under the cartridge are the seats and springs. This is Delta/Peerless part #4993. Pick them up and replace the seat and spring. Leak better now? Regards, Tom

Tom,
I'll give it a try. I'll let you know if it succeeds.

Tom,
I was able to get the washer and spring set from a local hardware store, and I was able to replace it.
Thanks for your help.
