The shot is only effective up to 48 hours after the mating, so if you know your dog is pregnant (visible signs) then it's far too late.

You can do a spay/abort, it carries a slightly higher risk than a regular spay and does cost a little more but you kill 2 birds with 1 stone so to speak... My vet charges around $250 but prices vary greatly depending on each vet.

To not have puppys spay her, she'd be happier and healthier, and over time it would be cheaper.

A spay at my clinic is about $300, but everything there is on the more expensive side.. So most places it would probably be $200-250. Talk to your vet they may have a payment plan that could help.

Puppies can be a hand full but choosing for her not to have them can be depressing for her. There are many things you can do instead of making them disappear tr looking for foster homes the puppies will find a home. All I'm saying is that the pups were meant to be born.

Moreno, the mom is not going to know what happened, she's not going to be depressed. What is depressing is the fact that these puppys are contributing to the homeless animals that are going to die!
