Okay so I'm freaking out. I haven't been on a date in while and I totally lost touch in what to do and what to expect. This guy came out of no where and asked me on a date and of course I said yes. So like I mentioned I'm freaking out. What are the rules for a first date?

What will the two of you be doing for your date? Will you meet somewhere, or will he pick you up?

Dress appropriately (and modestly).
Be polite.
Let him talk, and ask him questions about what he said.
Don't get into personal stuff that he doesn't need to know on the first date.
Don't get chummy and cuddly and kissy-face.
If you eat out, chew with your mouth closed.
If you end up kissing goodnight, make it light and fun.
Thank him for a nice evening (even if it was the pits).

Oh okay that sounds simple.
And he's picking me up and I have no idea what were doing.
He said something about getting a drink first then dinner then movies. Something like that, I don't know lol
So no heels right? No getting dressed up.

What do women wear nowadays for a dinner-movie date?

If it's "just" a dinner at a family-type restaurant and a movie at the local theater, I'd say nice slacks, a pretty top/pullover sweater, comfortable shoes, natural makeup, and a beautiful smile (with fresh breath).

When I first read this question post... I first thought how wonderful for you. But then I read the comments back and forth and thought how wonderful for me (for reading it). You both just had me smiling and giving a giggle. Love it. :O) The part about what do they where out to dinner and neither knew... made me think... geez I am not quite sure either. :O) Thank you both for making me smile.

Oh, I do hope your date went well. As for what to wear (if ever you wonder again since the date maybe have already happened) I would suggest pants and a nice shirt. I tend to pick black pants, and then any nice shirt with flats. That way you can't really go wrong either way.

LOL yes the date was yesturday and it went very well. I have an amazing time.
And I took your advice wondergirl, I wore nice pants and a cute top with a small jacket type thing.
And the first thing he said was "wow you are so gorgeous" so clearly the outfit worked. Thanks so much!!
And he kissed me at the end. :)
