View Full Version : Could I still be pregnant? Or is that out of the question?

I had sex on Septmeber 29 and our condom broke. I had a VERY light, unusual period on the 5th. I have taken a couple of test since then and they came up negative, but I have been having pregnant like syptoms; such as: cramping, very tired, and I gag at every nasty smell. I took a test on October 25 and it was also negative, so I thought I was in the clear.

But today, October 29, someone told me if I was to get pregnant that day (or a few days after) that test would not show up positive until my first actual missed period. Is this true or should I not even consider the fact that I could be?

p.s. I don't have insurance so going to the doctor isn't something I can just do. If I am pregnant, obviously I'll find a way to get insurance. So having a baby is not a problem, so please don't lecture me, I just need to know if there's still a chance I could be or not.

Thank you!

1. Your friend is right: It's too early to tell for sure.
2. Wait another 3-4 weeks and if you're still in doubt, then get an pregnancy test kit from your local drug store. Be sure to read the instructions before you take the test to be sure that you are at a good time to get good results.
