The house I am leasing in Charlottesville is beginning to go into foreclosure. I have started looking for another place to live. I assume I am on a month to month lease since the full lease has run out. My employment may take me out of this area soon anyway but I'd rather not have to move twice.

About how much time can I allow myself before I MUST leave?

It totally varies. Depends on how hard the homeowner is fighting it, depends on how far along in the process it currently is. There are too many factors to say. But Federal law allows you 90 days from the date the property changes hands before you have to move out. So that should give you time.
