My personal indentifications such as drivers license, birth certificate, resident alien card, passport, and my social security card has been stolen. How do you even begin starting at the correct area to renew any of these items when you have nothing that can prove who you are. Where do you start? It's a catch 22 in this country, meaning you have to have one to have the other. How do people ever recover from this insanity. I keep getting told I have to have one or even two of the items listed to be approved for the other. Really!? There has to be someone that has the right answer and or process that is correct. I don't need a wild goose chase back to nothing getting accomplished except a headache and or a nervous breakdown. Please help. I really need a good answer as to where do I begin.

First did you make a police report on this? You can go down to the DMV and show them the police report and ask them to bring up your driver's license and compare you and your d/l photo and signature to see if it's a match. Then they should be able to reissue you a valid driver's license. This should help you get the remainder of your id back.
