Does anyone know why I am unable to print in Outlook 6? I keep getting the following error: "An error has occurred in the script on this page, Line: 1344, Unspecified error." It then asks if I want to continue running scripts on the page. I've looked it up on Google, lots of people have the same problem but no solutions.

First off the problem is not related to any one email program, internet explorer version, or Windows platform. Removal of certain items will remove some registry keys. I too search for a long time to find this solution. When I finally found it, I had to come back and post it. I hope you find this as helpful as I did.

Solution:
From a Win2000 machine export these files from the registry and import on the machine with the print problem/script error. These work on both 2000 and WinXP.

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

Hi all, for those of you having the line 1344 script error trying to print from outlook express 6. I have finally found an easy fix- took about 2 seconds. I have tried to get this fixed so some time and most of the suggestions didn't work. Was getting ready to do admin Matt's registry fix and then run across this site http://www.windowsforumz.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&p=1763135. Please view this site, Steve's simple little suggestion worked a charm for me. If your problem is this, I know it will work for you and it was so simple after months of trying to get this nightmare fixed!! I am a very happy person. :D

I had the same problem. I found this on the site mentioned by smiley7.

And it worked!

<Go to Start | Run and type:

Regsvr32 ole32.dll>

Just had to thank you folks. I've never actually used a help forum before but am totally grateful for this printing fix for outlook express. I've been copy and pasting to print from other apps and your fix did work... beautifully quickly, simply and perfectly. Thanks again John m and Smiley 7

Hi,
Thanks for the suggestions as to make OE 6 print again, when the script error comes up.
That's a lot simpler than reinstalling Outlook Express 6.
Best wishes,
