I did a restore of my computer last night and it fixed most problems I have been having. Now though certain programs that I click on don't come up. It will show an hour glass for a couple of seconds blink and then it all just disappears. Anyone have any idea why or how I fix that? I wish I could explain this better but hopefully someone will understand me.

I don't know a lot but if you restore you computer to a certain restore point it might erase all the programs you installed or updated after the restore point. I would say just re-install all the programs you are having problems with.

I did reinstall. One of them being my anti virus protection. Since it won't come up on my screen now when I click on the icon I am afraid that it is not working.

If your clicking the icon on the desktop it may still be the old one if you understand that. Try looking for it in the start menu/all programs menu and then clicking on it.
