I had physical custody of my daughter and stopped receiving her mother support(ssdi portion for child) when she turned 18,in 2009. My daughter is in college reconciled with her mothers and stayed with her mother summer of 2010 and her mother is asking for child support. "

Let her ask away. If it wasn't part of the original order then they aren't going to order it unless there is rare circumstances such as disability of the child.

Some states do run child support until 21 and many are at 18 and finished with high school.

So depending on where you live there might be a claim but not likely. Most that have that rule (like Indiana) the child has to apply for it through the courts before their 18th birthday.

My concern is that in Massachusetts they can provide child support until the age of 23 if the child is a full time student. It is up to the discretion of the court

It may depend on when the law was amended and if it can be grandfathered in. Many states that are extending things like that also have other requirements from the child like grades etc. Without a disability its tough for a court to say you have to support your adult child. It violates the equal protection act. Since your being discriminated against do to marital status.
