What is the deflection formula for the uniformly loaded continuous beam?
Is it same that of the simply supported beam?

The deflection of a beam is dependent on:
A. How it is loaded (in this case you know it's unifromly loaded, so it is suporting a constant load per unit length),
B. The cross-section and material of the beam - here you know it's uniform and continuous, so I and E are constant,
C. How it is supported; a simply-supported beam (point supports at each end) will deflect differently than a cantilever beam. You can also have multiple supports and combinations of simple and cantilever ends.
So - how is the beam supported?
