Record yourself singing the National Anthem a cappella. That means no instruments. It should be a descent recording. It doesn't have to be done in a pro studio though. Get help if you need it. DO NOT! Use an auto-tuner on this recording. It should be raw with maybe with just a hint of reverb. Make copies of this recording on CDs. If you have a major local sports team, like a pro or semi-pro basketball, baseball, football, or hockey team, send it to their promotional or publicity department. Your parents can help you do this. I'm in Indianapolis, and we have the Pacers pro basketball team, the Colts pro football team, the Indianapolis Ice semi-pro hockey team, and the Indianapolis Indians semi-pro baseball team. All of these places have someone sing the National Anthem before every home game, and many other events as well. They don't usually like to use the same person twice, and it's a good way to get noticed. You probably won't get paid, but it will get you noticed. Make sure you let them know how old you are. If you don't have a major team in your town, send it to the nearest town that does. There are also possibilities of singing the National Anthem at high school games, parades, festivals. If you attend a church, there may be opportunities to sing there too. Good luck.
