The jeweler sent the ring off to a repair company to be fixed. The jeweler is refusing so far to provide any documentation of the cut, clarity, and size of the ring for me to get estimates of the value. Also, any docs showing what transpired in how it was lost. The ring reps lots of emotional value to me. Is there financial compensation for emotional loss for something like that? The jeweler is trying to just give me one of their rings. I've sent them a letter requesting documentation of what transpired.

Normally no, you can sue for actual damages and loss.
You can sue them for the value of the ring.

... Is there financial compensation for emotional loss for something like that?...
No.
... You can sue them for the value of the ring.
And it can be difficult proving intrinsic value. Do you have an appraisal of the ring? Do you have pictures or other evidence of the quality of the gem? You will need to find a jeweler who is willing to testify as to the ring's value.

If this was included in your homeowner's insurance policy then the ring should be covered by your own insurance company. If not, then you will have to someone get a proper appraisal of this ring.
