Ok, so I've been on the pill for 8/9 months and 2 months or so ago I missed 3/4 pills. My period was 4 days late... but came. It lasted 2 days. Last month it was late yet again by about 4/5 days but came eventually, lasting 2/3 days. I don't think I'm pregnant as the amount of bleeding seemed normal, slightly less than usual and only lasted a couple of days, but apart from that, normal. I know you can have vaginal bleeding whilst pregnant which is not classed as a "period", but I was just wondering how much is common to actually come out? Because from what I have read it can only be slight spotting...
My boyfriend keeps making comments about me being pregnant and over the past 2 months has suggested I get a test a few times, but I've always told him it would be a waste of money as my periods had always came even if they were late. I know I was stupid to forget pills and make myself unprotected but I think this time I have been lucky. I've just started a Modern Apprenticeship within Childcare so it wouldn't be the time to have a child even though we could manage to afford it and he wouldn't mind the thought.
So... any pregnant women or mothers out there: Did you bleed the first few months of pregnancy? If so, How much?

Also, how can I convince my boyfriend that I'm not pregnant? Cause I'm pretty sure I'm not and him keeping going on is getting annoying lol even if he is just trying to wind me up I need something to say so he knows Im not. :)

While most women will have no bleeding, some women do have what they believe to be periods while pregnant (usually only for a short time). It often is a bit different from their norm... lighter flow and/or shorter duration, but at times it can be quite similar.

Odds are you aren't pregnant, but best way to put boyfriend at ease, and keep you from becoming even more annoyed, would be to just take a test and find out once and for all.

You can have what appear to be periods when pregnant. Remaining on birth control while pregnant is dangerous for both you and the child so you better get serious and get a pregnancy test. And the way to prove you aren't pregnant is to take a pregnancy test and show your boyfriend the result .

Yeh, I might go get a test next week. He's not said much in a while so its cool, I'm not getting too annoyed :) lol
There isn't actually any scientific evidence to link taking the birth control pill whilst pregnancy and any harm to the baby, so I'm not going to stop taking it, I still need to be protected. But I will get a test either this week or next :)
