Ok so I ovulated on the 23rd last month I had sex on the 23rd, 24th and 26th and was suppose to get my period on the 6th or 7th, its 2 weeks late and I've been cramping since I ovulated my breasts have been more tender than usual my boyfriend said there a little bigger with big blue veins on them, sometimes ill be sat watching telly and ill just start to feel a little sick, it comes and goes all the time, I woke up this morning with stomach cramps, its weird its like there's something there not bloated and its not painful just feels like there's something on the right side of my lower stomach and abit of aching, Ive had a lot of discharge since I ovulated as well sometimes its like watery other times its milky and stringy, not itchy and it dousnt burn, but all week last week every time we had sex straight after I would spot fresh blood, just a little spot only there once or twice then going to and only comes back when we have sex, now we usually have sex 2 - 3 times a week and that's the only time that's happened, but it hasn't happened this week no spots of blood just the cramping, Ive taking 4 hpt's the last one 3 days ago and were all negative and they were first response and there the good 1's :o( I just want to know why its late could there still be a chance? Ive never been pregnant and this is my first time trying for 1 so Im not quite sure what to expect can someone help me? Thanks x x x

It could be related to stress. The tests are pretty accurate, especially if you are that late. If you really want to make sure I would make an appointment with your doctor. At that time, you could also talk with your doctor about getting pregnant and he/she may be able to give you some helpful advice. Good luck. :)

Actually, I have to disagree with Jammer. The tests aren't always accurate, even the good ones. Some women don't get positive results well into their second month. Some women never get a positive using an hpt.

Did you use first morning urine? First morning urine is more concentrated and therefore will give more accurate results.

Wait until your next period is due. If you skip that one than try testing again, or go to your doctor for a blood test.

Keep in mind that many things can cause your period to be late, stress, diet change, weight loss, weight gain, illness, medication, and many more.

Good luck and keep us posted.

I did not say always. There is scientific data showing that they are "highly" accurate, not to be confused with always. Nikki, if you are trying to get pregnant, I would advise seeing your doctor. Prenatal care is very important.

Thanks for both of your advice I'll go see my doctor see what she has to say and I'll keep taking tests up until my next period is due which is the 4th
