Some say you should wash your face twice a day only.Others say three times is okay, even four times.. And it is said, that overwashing it will only stimulate more production of oil. That, I agree with. But the point is, I've been washing it twice, in the morning and at night, and still during the day, my face feels very oily.Clearly, this shows washing it twice a day isn't good enough at all.So, What I'm trying to ask is, is it okay to wash it 3 or maybe 4 times a day with soap and water? Or, could I just use a cleanser or toner during the day instead of using soap and water again? Or just use face wipes to absorb the oil?To add, my skin is very very oily.It begins to get oily, at about three hours after washing my face, so I don't think dryness is going to be the issue. Please, I really need someone to help me out here.Thanks.

Try different things and see what works for you. For hygiene, twice a day is fine, but if washing more often makes it feel better, then go for it. Use a mild soap. Or try toning and see if that works better.
Just pay attention to how your skin responds to different things, and don't do anything which makes you sore or sensitive.

I have the same problem with washing my face and then becoming annoyed when it gets oily so fast. I actually typed in your same question to see if someone had already tested my belief that if I wash my face three to four times daily and put oil free moisturizer on it (the one that does not leave a greasy film similar to natural oil), the natural oil production will slow down because my face will come to rely on the artificial moisture, which hopefully diminish any blemishes that occur from pores blocked with sebum oil. But finding that the time to wash and moisturize my face four times daily sounds like a pain in the butt if it doesn't work. My exact plan (for oily acne prone skin) would be to wash twice with a salycilic acid (or any medicated stuff for acne found at pharmacy that leaves your face feeling really clean) and the other times with mild soaps like tea tree oil face wash or oil-free face washes (that are used more to gently wash the oil and dirt off face), I have a tendency to want to touch my face and see how much oil I have, but it would be better to wipe your face with oil blotters... oily skin is a pain in the butt. So you would basically have to carry this crap around with you all the time.

You already know everything and it is okay to wash 3 or 4 times a dayif gets to dry you can use a oil free moisturiser. :)
