Hello Im Erich, My dad passed away two years ago he was erich kuhlmey sr his dad was also erich kuhlmey he was on the nazi side my grandmother left him and told my dad he was killed in the war . She left my dad in germany and came to america around 1946 he came over about 1949 . He and myself always looked for erich kuhlmey in volkbund and eveywhere I could. Any help would be most touching . I just want to know where he rest . Thank you

Have you contacted the consulate near you to ask where you could search? Having passed in the war there is no telling where he actually rests. You may have to search out the records in germany that they collected at that time and see how far the trail goes. Or contact the military and ask them how you can search for it and find out. Lots of records were also destroyed too. Keep in mind he also may not have died at that time and that is something your grandmother told you as an excuse.
