I have to go to a class directly after work and will have my cell phone. They do random searches at this class and sometimes will run a security wand over you. Because some of the class participants are from a halfway house cell phones are prohibited regardless of who you are. Since I come straight from work I will have my phone with me. I need to know if I turn my phone off and place my phone in my bra will the security wand still detect the phone? It's a Motorola Karma. They can't do a patdown on chest area because they aren't allowed. Please no answers from people who are just going to say I can live without my phone and just to leave it at work. I don't have a car so I use my phone to call for a ride when the class is done.

If the instructor held your phone during class, would that work.
What are the repercussions of getting caught.

No, the instructor will not hold the phone. We are not even supposed to bring them into the building. They will take the phone away and they say they won't give it back. Not sure if they can actually do that, but not wanting to risk it.
