Firstly, my girlfriend is finishing high this year and we have been in a relationship for 8 months, without her parents knowing any of it. Everything between us is going great.
So I recently got her an Iphone for her birthday, since her existing phone was giving loads of problems. The problem is, she can't use it in front of her parents unless for a valid or acceptable reason. The fact remains that an Iphone isn't that cheap, even her closest friend can't afford to get one for her. So I'm trying to figure out how to get her using the phone with her parents making a big fuss, for e.g. a group of her closest friends got it for her? Then again, an iPhone ain't cheap.
We can't go official for now cause her mum's really strict about her not having a boyfriend in the meantime (she's in high and her major exams coming up), and probably we can go official when she gets to college; but it's still then. And she already has the iPhone (hiding it).
But her birthday is still less than a month to go. And I got this iPhone through her personal tuition teacher, where she got it from her workplace. We're still figuring out a way to get her hands on the phone, without her mum being a trouble.
