Spent 3 hrs looking for S or T mark on flywheel & did not find any. Are marks stamped on face or flange or teeth of flywheel? Installed new ignition points & condenser & plug using method posted by DG & it runs fairly well , but I think timing is not correct.Thank YOU DG for your help
Its on the flange behind the teeth it is real hard to see , it is stamped in the ring
Spray wd40 or sometype of spay
This will make it eaier to spot.

Thank you for all your help. Will try to locate mark tomorrow after work. This 1st Kohler engine I have worked on & not doing a very good job so far.
The "s" should be about 1/4 turn before top dead center ,
I know this is a kohler , but what type of unit is it on.

Had little time to work on engine today & found T on flywheel but could not locate S mark. Found a very faint mark about 1/4 turn past T that appeared to be SP. Could this be the S mark? Thank you for your help.
