Policy and they give it to her. This looks like a privacy act violation?

They were probably never informed? You two were divorced. Is the beneficiary changed on your life insurance policy ? Yes, they should have denied her and called you.

Sorry to say I don't know if I believe you.

1. Insurance offices don't have copies of policies in them, If I lost my own life policy it would take me 2 to 3 weeks to get a new copy.
At most they may have gave her a face sheet with the info of how much coverage

But some follow up questions
Who is the owner of the policy < just because it is on you, does not mean you own it

Who is the beneficiary of the policy, HER ? Or was it changed

Are you ordered by the court to keep a policy with her or perhaps with your kids as a beneficiary, I know on my last divorce, I had to keep a 25,000 policy on myself with my son as beneficiary ( to replace child support if I died)

Are the two of you having any current court battles over somethingg

Once you are divorced as nothing can be happen don't worry you can change your nomination name.
