I was recently accepted to nursing school this January 2010, but after a background check revealed petty larceny for shoplifting an item under $20, I was removed from the program, Michigan law says you have to be off probation for I think 2 years before being allowed into clinicals.I received this charge in 2008, and I got off probation in November of 2008. I will not be allowed into the program until January 2012. This was the stupidest thing I ever did and mistakenly plead guilty not knowing that by doing so it would end up on my record. I tried to just recently get it off my record with a set aside motion this past June but the Judge denied my request. I really want to go to school, I'll move anywhere just be able to go. Are there any Schools that I can attend with this charge. I know obtaining a license will be another challenge but I will face that when I get to it. I live in Michigan

No such thing, most will not waste time if they think getting the license would or could be an issue. Only choice, apply, be honest and plea your case
