We went to the vet and had x-rays and everything is fine (heading in to ultra sound). Hes on amoxicillan. Ive now got him eating rice & boiled chicken but that seems to come back up too. It doesn't take long either... with in minutes or seconds of him injesting. He doesn't have bloat or an obstruction and it started of the blue 6 days ago. Hes had anti nausea injections and anit vomitting injections which usually makes him vomit by the time we get home from the vet. Im at a loss and though he doesn't SEEM miserable, I imagine he is... and HUNGRY. He was a rescue and emaciated when I adopted him. He put on weight and was doing really well... now I can visually see he's losing it. Anyone got any suggestions or experience with this mystery "illness"

Is he drinking and keeping liquids down?

I just looked up Amoxicillan's side-effects. The side-effects sound like what your pup is experiencing-nausea and vomiting. What I have read is that if the vomiting continues or gets worse, consult your vet which sounds like you have been. Though it sounds like no one is thinking about the medication as a possible cause.

How much longer is he supposed to be on the Amoxicillan? I would ask my vet about it and if there is an alternative to try and settle his digestive track.

If he is keeping liquids down, you might try pureeing his food and essentially giving him a soup in very small quantities until he can keep it down. His throat may also be extremely sore from throwing up.

I hope he has a speedy recovery.

He started the Amox yesterday 10/12, vomitting 5 days previous to that. Sometimes he keeps down liquids & sometimes the minute he gets done drinking the H20 comes right back up. Hes had fluids 2x. TX for your purée idea! Im going to try that! Thanks
