Why won't my dog pee and poop when we go for a walk? She will only do it in our yard.
She is a 4 month Westie. Just succeeded at house breaking her, and we have not had an accident in the house for the last two weeks. She loves to go for walks but does not urinate or have a bowel movement during the walk yet when we return home, she cries to be let out in our yard where she relieves herself. Why won't she go on the walk?

I think with time she will. Right now your yard is her comfort zone for going in, and it's only been a short while. See what happens on a longer walk, and go somewhere where you can stop and play, drop the leash if you feel she will stay, while she chases a ball, and maybe has to go then. I wouldn't worry about it being this way forever. (And of course praise her to the sky when she does go, which I'm sure you are doing.)
