I live in a 2 story home built in the 50s.Downstairs I have a tenant that was flushing Lysol sanitary wipes down the toilet for the last 3 months 3-5 at a time. I just found out because now the water won't drain past the garage(which is the last drain before the sidewalk). First off this drain is very difficult to get a snake through because of the way the pipe bends at the bottom(my bother inlaw mentioned p-trap). This pipe merges with the kitchen drain so somewhere between the garage and the sidewalk and between the 2 drains we got about 20 of those wipes but still no water movement. Today we removed the downstairs toilet and snaked that with a 5/8 in by 50ft line attached to an drill assembly because we figured that was the easiest route to the main. Still no movement. I have 2 questions if we call a plumber will he do anything different besides ripping the concrete ? Is there another method other than the snake?
