I bought and paid in full for my 1996 Mobile Home and was told that I would get the Title in 3wks (6-21-2010). Now Its going on 4months later and the work hasn't been finished, so Im having to fix the flooring, walls, insulation, etc. Before I put any more money or work into this home I want the Title. Its Paid Off. I don't know what I can do. Is there any laws that can help me? My contract does not state any of this information. (of course). Also the Heating/Ac is not connected, nor wood fixed or Trailor Hitch Removed.

Why does the seller say you haven't gotten title? If you have a signed sales contract, you should be able to go to the DMV and have a new title issued.

There should be a bill of sale, that states the trailer VIN ( ID number) . Was the seller going to have to pay off a loan on the mobile home, get the title back and sign it over to you ?

You need to check with the DMV ( normally who has the titles on them) and check to see first that this person actually owns it, and see what you need to do to get the title.

You may have to sue the seller for the money of the sale to try and force them to get the title to you, or at least get your money back
