What I believe to be the thermal cutoff sensor on my Whirlpool LER4634EQ0 electric dryer has no continuity when the dryer is off and cool. Is this normal? The dryer runs, but will not heat. I have continuity at the thermal fuse, thermostst near the heating element, and the heating element. The sensor that I believe to be the thermal cut off is mounted near the top of the heating duct where the heating element is located and appears to be made of ceramic. What I think is the cycling sensor (mounted on the exhaust duct of the dryer) has 4 terminals. There is continuity between the 2 large terminals, and none on the small 2 terminals of this sensor. After more research I did a couple more tests- tested voltage at outlet and have 240 V, so that checks out. Resistance of element is 10 Ohms. Thank you.
