My Kenmore (Model #665.17032 102) dishwasher does not fill up enough to run a wash cycle. I have watched it fill with the door open and there clearly is not enough pressure coming out of the side wall where the water enters the dishwasher. I have disconnected the hose that comes from the valve under the faucet connecting to the bottom of the dishwasher and have confirmed good pressure from the valve through the hose. I have also disconnected both ends of the plastic, black, flexible hose coming from the side wall and going down to the assembly below the dishwasher. There doesn't appear to be any obstruction in there.
Is it possible the automatic valve is not opening enough to allow sufficient water flow into the dishwasher? If not, what other ideas are there out there to help resolve this problem?
In the meanwhile, we have been manually filling the dishwasher with a pitcher. This isn't very practical when the water fills and drains three times per cycle (especially when you are doing dishes for a family of 8!)
Thank you all!
