The battery, alternator, and starter have been checked and are in good condition.
We shift into neutral and the car starts right away.
Can it be the main relay, ignition switch, or keys?

The automatic transmission gear position switch may be out of adjustment.
See if this solves the problem:
1. Remove console and disconnect 14-P connector from switch.
2. Remove both console switch mounting nuts.
3. Position switch slider to "Neutral."
4. Move shift lever to "Neutral," then slip switch into position.
5. Attach switch with both nuts.
6. Test switch in Park and Neutral positions of shift lever. Engine should start, when shift lever is in Neutral (anywhere in the range of free play).
7. Connect 14-P connector, clamp harness, and install console.

There is a start interlock under the floor plate console. These can usually be adjusted. Sometimes. Debris falls down the slots in the shifter face and the shift lever can't be moved forward enough to allow the interlock to release. Since it starts in neutral, it's probably not the switch or keys. Hope this is an easy solution!
