I had a lot of problems with my Maytag Refrigerator bottom freezer. When it was one year old and 2 months I lost all refrigeration and all my food spoiled. Since it was 2 months out of warranty Maytag would not do anything for me, and not only did I have to replace the food I lost which was expensive, but I had to pay for a new thermostat. In September I lost all refrigeration again, but this time it was the compressor, and the compressor is covered under warranty for five years. The refrigerator was purchased December 2, 2005. The first factory authorized repairman had to order a compressor and it took over a week to receive it. When he tried to install the compressor but he said it didn't fit and he felt it was unrepairable. He also told me he would have to report this to the master technician at Whirlpool. The master technician did not agree and he said I would have to get another repairman to come out for a second opinion. When the second repairman came he told me that he would have to order another compressor because apparently the installed compressor was the wrong size and he said the first repairman burned the wires leading to the compressor and he would have to order new wires also. This took another week before the second compressor came in and he installed it. He told me to wait two days before putting any food in and I did but the freezer did not maintain the temperature and all the meat was starting to defrost again. Hence the second repairman had to come out again and he sottered some wires and he did not turn on my icemaker the first time and he turned it on and that seems to be working but it is very slow to make ice. At this point I am not sure if everythings all right with this refrigerator and I don't trust that it is. Please let me know what you advise.

Normally there is no lemon law for these, if there is, it will be a state law where you live. But it has already been a year and it has been out of warranty already, it appears to have been well past any lemon issues. It appears part of the issue is the repair person ordered the wrong compressor. And perhaps the repair company does not have highly experienced service people. I see little that you can do at this point.
