Does he mean it in a friendly way or a romantic sort of way? A co worker of mine who I like a lot and I'm pretty sure he likes me too has recently called me honey twice. Last week I had to call him from work with a question and he answered "hi honey" when I said hello and today he texted me and was like " oh good hun im glad you didnt get in trouble"
What do you think he means by it? How should I respond??
I'm 18 he's 24 by the way

If you're so uncomfortable with what he says, then confront him about it.

Its unprofessional to say the least, but in saying that many people have a habit of calling other people honey or what really gets my goat 'babe'!

Be careful getting involved with someone at work if it does not work out you still have to work there.

I would respond by saying my name is... in a nice way, don't forget your still in work.

Many companys have polices on office romances,my advice is take your time before you make any decision on this guy.

If you're not uncomfortable, then what's the problem?

If you're interested in him, then be careful with office romances, they can get very sticky.

In this instance it's probably safe to hear "hon" in the same way you would hear "buddy", "dude", "guy", "bro", "sis", etc... It means nothing intimate.

Since I know you're not looking for some way to read this as a reason to pursue more with him, let's move on from that.

If you're interested in this guy and you're willing to put up with the drama/danger of dating someone from work, then tell him and stop this "what if" junk. Just ask him out. Seriously. Life is as simple as you allow it to be.

Actually I tend to agree with this. I occasionally will answer 'hon' but I mean no harm in any way. I have done this all my life and that is a pretty long time.

I also refer to the guys on the desk as 'bud' or 'buddy.' I don't feel that it is a foul. Occasionally I am referred to as 'handsome', doesn't mean that I am and I certainly don't accept it a anything sexual...

EX!!!!!! where are ya???
