You'll have to excuse me, but after my first time falling in love, I became a romance junkie. I've searched many forums, and watched a lot of movies. During my first love, I wanted to love hard, but could not be talked into watching The Notebook haha. I considered it a "chick flick", and "wouldn't be caught dead" watching it or A Walk To Remember. After that relationship ended, I decided to see what the fuss was all about. I watched both of them, and they became two of my favorite movies..

I just got done watching "Leap Year" (2010) and thought it was astounding.

In lieu of the beauty of Ireland, and loving both Leap Year and P.S. I Love You, I am searching for Irish romance movies, preferably more recent ones but I will accept any and all suggestions. Beautiful scenery is a major plus, and would be greatly appreciated. I am looking forward to your thoughts on the matter. If you happen to know a movie that doesn't involve Ireland, but has georgeous scenery anyway, I will be looking for that too.

Irish romance, or beautiful scenery romance. Both would be quite awesome. I'm having trouble finding keywords that will aid my search, and thought it would be a better idea to ask. Thank you all in advance for your opinions and taking the time to hear me out! Throw me some good'uns people! :-D

I don't have personal experience with this movie, but it might be worth a look for you.

When Brendan Met Trudy (2000)

Good story, lovely accents, fantastic external shots around Ireland and some nice views around Dublin make this film a genial and pleasant way to spend an evening.

When Brendan Met Trudy is a quirky romance that tells off the unusual relationship that develops between Brendan, an introverted, uptight and lonely teacher and film buff and Trudy, a beautiful and sexy young thief he meets in a bar one night.

How about 'Ryan's Daughter' - NOT a comedy - more of a drama, but it is filmed in Ireland, and tells a story of an illicit romance between an Irish woman (married), and a British officer...
