I have a toy poodle that's 6yrs old, he was throwing up , he would drink his water but he couldn't keep it down. Took him to his vet they gave him meds, he's back eating his food but I can't get him to drink on his own, been giving him water with a eye dropper lookig thing.His vet is out of town, so can anyone tell me why he won't drink on his own and how I can get him to. :confused:

You might try ice cubes, although that may be more an acquired taste. Crushed ice may be better for the little guy. If he is keeping the eyedropper water down, and his vet will be back Tuesday, I would wait until then.
