I figured out that it was the collection agency attroney serving us with a summons ,I'am trying to to fins to forms ,called a Notice of appearance and a certificate of service form , but we could not find them , I searched on jay Johonson website www.youhavebeenserved .com but could not find any infos it seemd hard to navigate , as we are 19 days form the deadline , any idea or help , another thing that ihave hard time understanding if on the term and condition a card is not transfereable ,why am I responsible for my husband debt since the summons showed my husband Name but was under spouse JOe Doe Iam confused?

If in the US, the state you live in can decide if you can be held liable for debts of your spouse. Also if you are not suppose to be held liable, then when you appear in court, you argue that point.

Its not unusual for a summons to not include a court date. A hearing is scheduled only after you respond.

You may live in a state were debts incurred during a marriage are considered marital debts.

What is your defense?
