During a football game I was hit hard in the side of my helmet. Immediately after I couldn't bite down at all it was painfull. Now a day after when I bite down my teeth aren't in the right alignment and it still hurts. What does this mean and what should I do?

Your jaw is dislocated. Someone who knows how to can put their thumbs at the back of your lower teeth, grab your jaw with the rest of both hands, and push down and back in one motion. Or go to a doctor or clinic. Nurses are trained to do it.

A visit to a chiropractor should fix it. Yes, your jaw is out of whack. If you don't get it realigned, your teeth might begin to shift, you'll get headaches and face pain, and things will go downhill.

OK so you don't think it's dislocated. We can't see it. Maybe you have a swelling in the side of your face that is temporarily pushing your jaw out of whack. Maybe you dislodged one tooth and it's ready to fall out and your whole mouth feels out of alignment. We could guess for days. It sounds like you don't want to see a doctor, dentist, chiropractor, nurse, or even a football coach? Local boxing club? Anybody? Then wait a few days and take it from there.

Well thanks for all the help. I'll ask our trainer about it tomorrow
