If well water, the pump is too low and has to be raised. About 2 feet should be good.

How deep is well?

Answer Chucks questions. Are you going through a dry spell? Sounds like the water table's falling and the well's closing in.
I'm afraid that if you raise the well point that you'll run out of water.
Time to call in a well company and find out just what's happening. Good luck, Tom

First I would check you water filter and change it if you haven't done so already. Second if you have a deep well I would raise your foot valve and run the system for a few hours and hopefully it clears up for you. If not it could be a crack in the pvc pipe between your well and your house and even less possible a crack in your casing which is usually the metal pipe that goes under ground..

No problem kimmathy!

I'll be glad to answer your question if I could find one in there. Care to post one? Back to you, Tom
