I had to shut off the water to the house to change the shut off lines under the bathroom sink down stairs. I turned off the water main outside, opened a faucet upstaires & hose bib at the shut off to drain the house. After I changed the shut off valves I turned the water back on & opened each faucet & shower to get the air out. Now the water pressure in the house is much lower. Do I need to bleed off more air somewhere? I have also read about the water pressure regulater? I am not on a well.

Hi NMP...

First thing to check after turning the water back on is to remove the aerators at all faucets... clean them and run water from each faucet while the aerator is out... then reinstall and see how the pressure is.

If the pressure/volume is still low look around for a pressure regulator valve... see image. These regulators have a screen that on the bottom that can get clogged and reduce pressure/volume. If you have a regulator see if the screen is clogged and if so, clean the screen and reinstall.

Start as above and let me know what you discover, OK?
