Over the yrs I have had lots of troubles with my periods, irregular, extremely heavy that kind thing. I have also at the age of 22 had an eptopic where one of my tubes where removed. However for past yr although heavy my periods have been every 30 to 33 days. Over the last 4 months my periods have calmed down but still on average 30 to 33 days. Last mth 7 days before my period I had 1 day where I was spotting. When my period came it was the usual 4 days long but quite light, now I still have 10 days until my nxt period but have been spotting when using the toilet for 5 days now. I can't get in the docs for a week. I'm tiredalot and very up and down with my emotions, I'm suffering from spots also. Have ever I am not having the flushes or insomnia of the menopause. :{

Since you are having regular periods it is likely that you are still ovulating regularly, so pregnancy is certainly a possibility.

However, changes in periods do occur during perimenopause and you are at an age where that can be starting (it can continue for a number of years before actual menopause occurs). You don't necessarily have to have hot flashes or insomnia.

See what happens when your next period is due. If it is unusual in any way, or obviously if it doesn't show, try a pregnancy test.

Fingers crossed!
