I live in NYS, county of Schenectady. My mother is very sick and I need to take care of her. I need to be removed as guardian for my youngest great niece as soon as possible. I've already told CPS who made the baby's father supervisor for visitation instead of removing me completely since the baby's mother hasn't gone through drug rehab (again). She and I can't get along either. Now, I've found out that he is in jail. What happens now?

You might want to see if they will move your post to the family law area. There are some very fine legal advisers on this site.

I have asked that your thread be moved to Family Law.

Are you the Court appointed Guardian or is this some other arrangement?
If it's purusant to a Court order, then go back to Court and request the change.
I'm not sure of your status here - you are the person who supervises visitation by the mother with the child?
