Hello Everyone

So I met this girl on Facebook about 3 weeks ago. We chatted every other day. For about a week. We then exchanged numbers and finally started texting
We finally made plans for this past Sunday. She was going to come over and I was going to cook her dinner and dessert.
I text her Sunday around 6 and asked her if she was still coming over around 7:30 and she said "Sure, let me just take a shower". I said "ok" and we chatting for a few minutes. Longer and then I said "Well, let me know when your leaving, ill see you soon." An hour passed by... nothing... I text her and asked if she left yet... no reply... An hour and a half went by... I text again... No reply... 2 hours went by... nothing... I called... no answer... and left a message.. 2 and a half hours later... I text again... and asked are you coming?. No reply... but the whole time she is posting comments on Facebook and on other peoples status... She never came over... never called... so I deleted her from Facebook... THEN... last night... she texts me and says "I see you deleteed me..ok well have fun" Then on top of that she had her sister post this on my wall... "Out of respect for my sister, I don't have d**kh**ds as my friend"... Should I even write her sister back and tell her the story? Or just leave that nonsense behind me?
Thanks

The wisest will advise that you put it behind you, but it sure is tempting to get in 1 little reply, right?
I think one short sentence on your wall would suffice, about how you waited all evening.
I would have met in a coffee shop, personally, if I actually expected someone to show up. And if they don't show, you can at least read a book or chat with other people, rather than plan a whole dinner.

Move on.

Really is there any point, the sister won't believe you,and the girl will colour her version on events the way she sees it.

There's nothing to gain by posting a reply.

Delete block and move on.

Make sure you block the sister as well.

What kind of person would agree to a dinner date, and say they are coming right up to the last hour, then suddenly cease and desist, turn invisible, and pretend that somehow they had a good reason to not show up?

Ignorance is one description. Rude, selfish, cold hearted, lacking in maturity, boorish, and 'entitled' comes to mind. And she's backed up by her sister no less.

Count your lucky stars that she didn't come to dinner. She would probably have eaten with her hands, wiped her mouth on your tablecloth, farted and burped her way through dinner, and then slurped her dessert from the bowl. She would probably have preferred the bowl be on the floor so she could eat it faster.

I could go on, but you get the picture. The behaviour isn't just her not showing up, and the way she went about that, it is about who she is.

God forbid you try dinner again with her. But, if you do, why not just serve up some alpo and a couple of dog bones and save yourself the time and expense of preparing a proper dinner.

As to the urge to set the record straight, don't fall for it. Stick to your guns, and keep her out of your (electronic) life. Really, to stoop so low to have any contact with her whatsoever, is just asking for more of the same behaviour from her.

I still am amazed that texting has taken the place of talking.
It is cold and impersonal.. you lose the tone and inflection that is the body language of sound.

Smilee, don't waste the time to text someone who disrespected you like she did.
You deleted her from Facebook, now delete her from your life.
And delete her sister too! And if you can find her mom add and delete her too!
That may be a little too much.;)

Forget her and move on.
It should be easy to find better girls than her. Real easy.

Have you actually talked to this person voice-to-voice?

I am not sure 'she' is who you think 'she' is (why am I picturing a 12 year old not wanting to admit her age?). Sounds more like someone playing a 'game' whether it is the person you have been 'talking' to or someone else doesn't matter. You are well rid of any drama associated with that individual.

Don't post about it. It would only feed their ego.

I do agree with a neutral site for a first in-person meeting. It keeps expectations under control until you see the real life person.

Oh, and Jake, I have to spread the rep. But I fully agree.

Yeah, we talked on the phone. I know a few of her friends and use to know her old boss, but like everyone said... I avoided all drama with this person.. who knows what would have happened if we hung out.
