So I have had this eye twitch on my right upper eye lid, its been everyday for almost 3 months now. I finally asked my dr about it and she said it's a "nerve" and prescribed me antidepressants, why did she give me antidepressants and will they work for my twitch. OR any other reasons I have this twitch and any other ways to stop it? Thank you!

Eye twitches are extremely common and can be caused by something as simple as a slight vitamin deficiency.
I presume your doctor prescribed antidepressants to dampen down your nerve impulses.
I would try to take a multivitamin everyday for a few weeks to see if it improves matters, if not go back to see your doctor.
Overall though, twitches are common and are not usually the sign or any serious illness or disease.
