Hi. I have a problem. Two weeks ago, on the thirteenth of September, I got what I thought was my period. But I noticed something was different. It was much shorter and lighter. Then a week later, I started feeling nauseated. Even vomited. And I was exhausted. As of three days ago, my breasts are getting very tender. Even wearing a bra or t-shirt drives me crazy. And my lower back is really achy... should I be taking a pregnancy test, or what do you think??

All you can do is take a pregnancy test. Make sure it is a proper one through your doctor. Only way to be sure.

OK, thanks... I don't know if I should wait until my next period should come and see if I miss it... or if I should do one now. This would be my first... kind of new at this all. What do you think?

Wait until your next period if you don't get it, go to your doctor for a test.

Taking a home pregnancy test is not wrong and they are VERY accurate these days. I am a mother of 4 beautiful little girls and used an at home every time! I mean, if you are pregnant, you are pregnant and it will def show up. Wait until about 5-6 days before your period is supposed to be here and take the first response test. Your doc won't want to see you until you are around 12 weeks anyway, just how it is now a days! Good luck. It sounds like pregnancy but stress can stop a period and if you are thinking you are pregnant, symptoms can occur in "your mind" if you are obsessing over it!

Sorry but there are false positives as well as false negatives - HPTs are NOT always "every time" and pregnancy doesn't "def show up."
The OP needs to ask her Pharmacist which kit is appropriate at this time.
