The ceiling fan will not operate either when using the remote (model UC 708T)or pull chain. Please advise how to reset the communication between motor and remote.

Lets start by confirming power is reaching the ceil box. Is there a wall switch for this room and I assume you have checked and confirmed the breaker, right?
